Dr. Chang Wan “Isaac” Woo is a professor in the School of Communication Studies at James Madison University. Since joining the school in 2012, he has taught courses in sports public relations, crisis communication, research methods, and public relations campaigns. He was a long-time coordinator of the sports communications minor and served as the faculty director of Bluestone Communications, a student-run public relations agency. Before joining JMU, he taught at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for three years.

As of 2025, he serves as a faculty adviser for the JMU Chapter of PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) and is a member of the PRSA Richmond chapter. His research interests include sports-related issues in public relations, crisis communication, and organization-public relationships.
