Understanding by Design (UbD) per se is the solution for my teaching. I learned that this process would make my teaching much easier. Until I took this workshop, because I worked for content, every semester was very difficult for me. I frequently encountered situations in which students did not go in the direction I wanted. Then they were not satisfied with what they were doing and I was always angry about that. To reduce my anger or to satisfy my students, the only thing I could do was to reduce their workloads and lower my expectations. I now can see the big picture of the whole class. I now know what I expect from each assignment and how the assignments are interwoven with each other. My students will also see it very clearly because I will share all the course planning and weekly plans with them in my syllabi and course calendar. This will make my teaching itself very easy and comfortable.
